Ben, Year 13

“The ability to get involved in student voice at Accord Sixth Form College has been a fantastic opportunity. I really feel listened to at Accord Sixth Form College and as students, we are given the opportunity to shape how the Sixth Form looks. I have really enjoyed my time at Accord Sixth Form College.”

Charlie, Year 13

“I am part of the Football Academy and have really enjoyed being able to play football alongside my studies. The standard of coaching is excellent and it has improved me as a footballer. Whilst I know that my education is the priority, the ability to take a break from studies and be part of the Football Academy really keeps me motivated to study hard.”

Sam, Year 12

“Being involved in the Inspiring Excellence Programme has really given me some outstanding opportunities to develop my personal statement when applying for top Universities. Being given the opportunity to access the HE+ and Linacre programmes has given me an insight into what it takes to gain entry into a top University such as Oxford or Cambridge.”

The Accord Multi Academy Trust is an educational charity established in September 2016 that is currently made up of four academies who were the founding members of the Trust. In September 2016 Horbury Academy and Ossett Academy & Sixth Form College came together, moving away from their stand-alone Trust status and were joined in December 2016 by Horbury Primary Academy and Middlestown Primary Academy.

The overarching vision for the Trust is to work in one ‘Accord – celebrating the differences of each academy through strong collaboration in order to inspire all members of our learning community to be the best that they can be.
